Ya know between the ads on the net and TV., Is the dieting industry out of control?

Some of these ads stop just short of saying'; loose wait while you pound down fatty foods';. I realize most of us lead busy lives but why is the concept of controlling diet and exercise being avoided like the plegue.I don't think the industry is concearned at all with people's health, only lining their pockets. What do you think?Ya know between the ads on the net and TV., Is the dieting industry out of control?
yes, i agree. and it must be real easy to make money selling pills that don't work becuase every1 wants to hear that there is an easy fix to their problem. ';just take a pill and lbs will melt off you.'; plus with the ';in'; thing right now is to be deathly skinny and that is how all the actresses and sex symbols look right now, so that is how everyone else in America wants to look.

kinda sick, isn't it?Ya know between the ads on the net and TV., Is the dieting industry out of control?
those kill me, the way the pictures show them pushing out their bellies to look fat and then sucking them in to look skinny, and the best one is where the woman says ';now I'm a size two'; oh please Teri hatcher is a size two
They are way out of control and the prices they charge are crazy
I hate when they show slim models to advertise weight loss products..and the before or after pictures seem altered.
I think that people's weight gains are out of control.

Control of the weight loss industry has increased in the last twenty years. Before then, it was almost completely out of control.

Incidentally, I lost over 100 pounds eating lots of fatty foods -- lots of butter, fried cheese, mayonnaise, etc. My problem was carbs. Fatty foods are more the province of arterial and heart issues.
